Description:
JP Cooper's management approached us to produce a video based on an idea that JP envisioned for his song. He expressed a preference for depicting a skeleton in a house with the ghosts of his girlfriend, drawing inspiration from the visual aesthetics of the Disney film Coco.
PROCESS
At the start of our journey, we kicked things off with concept designs and a detailed treatment outlining our approach to this project. After that, we cooked up a storyboard, which we then transformed into an animatic to get the rhythm of the visuals just right.
Once we got the green light on our concept designs, we jumped into the fun part – designing and rigging our characters for animation. Time was of the essence, so we had to be clever with our set design and keep things manageable in terms of animation and character movement.
As seen in the animatic, we stuck closely to the timings and scene outlines. Injecting a dynamic vibe into the video, we employed 3D camera moves and rounded it all off with a particle system, creating a kind of romantic dreamscape.
