Description:

We were commissioned to produce a captivating 25-minute film for the prestigious 'City Of Stories' exhibition. Oxford, renowned as a literary hub and home to numerous esteemed authors and stories, served as our inspiration.

Tailored for both children and adults, our film aims to captivate, inform, and inspire audiences. Through compelling storytelling, we shed light on Oxford's profound impact on literature, inviting viewers to delve into its rich literary heritage and explore its significance.

A person standing in front of a group of seated people at night, near a small fire, possibly giving a speech or presentation.
A person sitting on a rooftop with a lion cub, with historic buildings and the Northern Lights in the background.
A woman in a traditional dress standing near a body of water at night, with a dark stone wall and misty atmosphere surrounding her.
Two dragon figurines, one red and one gray, flying in the sky with cloudy background.

PROCESS

We collaborated closely with the scriptwriter, engaging in numerous meetings to strategize the best approach for this ambitious project. The storyline revolves around two children embarking on an adventurous journey akin to a rollercoaster ride through time and space. However, when things take an unexpected turn, they must find their way back to the modern-day world. Along the way, they encounter captivating scenes from literature and history.

Each scene was storyboarded, and concept designs were crafted for the backgrounds. To enhance the authenticity of our visuals, we captured drone footage and background plates of Oxford, which were incorporated within our CG backgrounds.

The actors were filmed over two days in a green screen studio, where we captured enchanting performances that were integrated into the CG environments. Special effects were incorporated, accompanied by a bespoke music score tailored specifically for the film.
