BRIEF

Tasked with directing two advert tags for the Kinder Surprise Commercial campaign, the first focuses on an Easter special, while the second aims to promote the Looney Tunes. However, the challenge lies in showcasing these toys without surpassing their inherent animation limitations.

PROCESS
The Easter Tag required seamless integration with the preceding advert's tabletop setting. Our vision was to craft a playful tabletop scene akin to children's art—simple yet easily recognisable. Developing our set's artistic direction, we collaborated with stop-motion animator Tim Allen, who brought the egg to life through animation.

For the Looney Tune Toys, our goal was to capture as much live-action footage as possible, animating them true to their inherent capabilities. This involved extensive work on set and against a green screen. Once more, Tim Allen's stop-motion expertise came into play, animating movements that were hard to achieve live, whilst a drill provided the spins required for Taz and Bugs.
