This is Ben, the mixed-media director and motion artist with far more nominations than wins

Often found in his studio, making something or another. Sometimes for clients, sometimes purely because an idea won’t leave him alone.

A few interesting facts: He begged his mum to make lasagna because he was such a fan of Garfield. He once thought he saw a UFO and a ghost. Created his first animation as a dare. His family had a pet West Highland Terrier he wanted to call Snowy because he’s a big Tintin fan, but was outvoted by his sisters, who picked a f***ing Neighbours character instead!

Clearly over it…

Oh, yeah, important stuff. He directs (the living, as well as the animated), designs, edits, and animates stuff. You know… blah, blah, blah!

This is Elaine, the organised producer behind the scenes.

Elaine is far more sensible than Ben, which is a good thing, because Elaine is the in-house producer. Handling all the pre-production and production on filmed projects, which requires an organised, clear, and creative head.

Elaine has worked on a multitude of productions, from promos for Nickelodeon TV, films for M.C. Saatchi, to video installations for the Story Museum.

Fun fact: Elaine was once featured on the front cover of a national newspaper after being photographed with friends on a night out, alongside a prominent and famous footballer.

When she’s not wrangling a production, keeping it on time and budget, she is writing and developing studio projects, the more serious, worthwhile kind, not the silly stuff Ben makes!

Studio Playlist.

One thing that is always on in the studio is music. From playing vinyl to a playlist. Feel free to listen along.
